I really appreciate you writing of how this journey is so individual, how you made it your own and "chose to accept that my journey would be my own – and that no one could dictate my climb out. Not when I emerged. How messy and torn and bloody I was when I climbed over the edge. Not how close I remained to the mouth of the pit, and for how long." Too often, I believe, we allow outside pressures to influence our journey, or at least make us feel bad about the way we walk this path. Thank you for staying close enough to help those of us behind you on this walk.Elena's Echoeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04597195687343663194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5659002609114323697.post-18397309785225769672013-01-17T17:19:53.138-05:002013-01-17T17:19:53.138-05:00Hope - like warm sun on your face. (I even gave my daughter Patience as her middle name!) I want to be out of the pit... I never wanted to fall in. But I believe that God wanted me too feel the pit. It has brought me back to Him and my husband as well. I felt fine on my own for a while. And that is when I fell. I fell when I no longer thought I needed HIM! Admitting that hurts... really hurts.

Thank you for walking with us <3Kylahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18084101452063808419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5659002609114323697.post-25094437108908737712013-01-14T23:34:32.408-05:002013-01-14T23:34:32.408-05:00Oh wow you are indeed the Writer Chic. I was captivated by what would come next... beautiful, elegant words of truth and words of hope! I love that you said you like your spot on the edge while I did not, I appreciate the raw beauty it brought to me and many around me. Still the story unfolds ever before me. I so enjoyed your post! You have a beautiful family, ALL of you! We always do....because we're His. He doesn't leave His girls in hopeless. Really...you conveyed this whole trip to the pit and beyond so perfectly...and with gut wrenching, aching, broken beauty. I loved it. And, I felt the smile spread on my face slow and full when the sun rose and you felt it warm of your face.

Because it does that...He does that.

Thank you...for being you...for walking with us...for speaking truth with beauty...for sharing sweet Duncan. No...Thank you for standing on the edge of the pit! Not many are fit to do it, and I am grateful someone is there to help others, like myself, out of the pit! Your post reminded me of a saying, "When you have fallen until you can't fall no more, the only place to look or go is up!" How great it is that we can look up and find Jesus there (and you)!Kaylahttp://aboyagirlababy.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
