Because I don't always answer the phone...

I've been toying around with the idea of creating a blog for ease of communication with all of the wonderful people who are interested in keeping tabs on my pregnancy and the well-being of our little boy.

I love the attention and concern that comes with each "how are you? how is the baby? how was your last appointment?" call, but my poor cell phone can't always handle the frequency, and until we get a land line....this seemed like a good way to both keep you all up-to-speed and to give me something to do while I endure the next few months of bed rest.

So, welcome to our blog. =) I look forward to learning how to do this -- catching up with technology, I guess -- and keeping in touch with all of you.

Hi Monica,
Just to let you know I always read blogs but I never respond! I wanted to be the first one to respond though (because it could very well be my last!) Just kidding. A blog is a great idea. I look forward to reading more. Lisa

Hi Monica, I am so sorry I kept you up for our drama in the jungle. I think this is a great idea, and I will certainly read anything you write, and try to respond.

You are such an inspiration to me. What you are enduring for your family and baby astound me. Stay busy blogging--my bedrest buddy.

Hi Monica! Sending you hugs! This is a great idea. When did you learn you are having a son? I like your aka's: Baby Gregory, Sprout. His testimony will one day be Psalm 139 'He is marvelously and wondrously made...and that His soul knoweth right well'. :>) I am looking forward to holding your blessed bundle. With love, Aunt Joyce
P.S. Uncle Paul says that all he knows is his prayers are answered on the day he gets to hold the baby. All he knows is he is looking forward to that day.
"Faith is the substance of things hoped, and the EVIDENCE of things not seen." We thank God for this child every time you and Jim come to mind. We love you.

Dearest Monica: I just wanted to say that I'm praying for you, as I can only imagine the constant worry you try not to feel inside - remember: "worry about nothing, PRAY about everything." That's encouraged me so many times through the last few months. Your more than halfway done with this prenancy - and it won't be long before it will be behind you, and you'll be in mommy mode full force (secretly wishing there was a way to put the baby "back in" so you could sleep more than an hour (:. Our God is faithful, Monica. Enjoy every moment on the couch - don't let yourself be bored. God knew you needed this resting time, so enjoy it to the fullest! You'll be the most organized mom on the planet, since you'll have all this time to plan and prep. "The Baby Whisperer" by Tracy Hogg is GREAT reading! Also, "Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours," by Kevin Leman. You can get the "Baby Whisper" DVD from the library too, along with many other videos...if you couldn't tell, I had a lot of time on my hands when I was prego with Morgan - we only had one car, and Matt was at work all day. Anway, just wanted to let you know your on my mind...take care and enjoy the relaxation!! Luv, your old roomie, Wendy
