They didn't really stress the "why" of this, but they definitely did stress: "buy your domain."
So I did.
While you can still find me at http://writerchicnlawnboy.blogspot.com/, going forward, I'd rather you find me at....
I know, I know. Where'd Jim go? Rest assured, he's still as much a part of all this as ever, but let's be honest....it was a loooong name.
I'm still publishing through blogger.com, so the look of Writer Chic will remain unchanged, but I have the simplicity and professionalism of a dot com now. Go, me!
And on a housekeeping note, if you are a follower of my blog or if you have it bookmarked on your desktop, can you please change it to www.thewriterchic.com? I'd love for any further links or references to take any new readers to the new address. Thanks!
That's great! I'll change it right away. My hubby has been telling me for a while now that I need my own domain name . . . I figured it was just the nerd in him. I am curious why that would make a difference.
I guess it would be easier to find you and faster to upload, maybe?
Very cool, M! My silly PG brain forgot you went to a conference this weekend. How cool that it was about blogging! I changed your domain name in my Favorites, it's all set. Your previous post also eases my guilt for when I go MIA from my blog for weeks at a time. But you're right - it is definitely life that fuels the blog, not the other way around. I'm glad you are taking care of yourself during this pregnancy. I hope your nausea goes away soon - maybe only 1 or 2 more weeks and it should get better! [[[hugs]]] D :)
Hi Monica - congrats on the pregnancy! We've finally let the cat out of the bag that I'm pregnant too! Due 8/25.
Now go take a load off Momma! =)
Very exciting. My hubby also has been wanting to make me my very own blog. Maybe I should let him. What blogger conference did you attend? I would be thrilled to attend a blogging conference. Please let me know what it was and all the details, that is, if you find an extra minute in your day. Thanks.
