Gordon: He’s your guy to get the job done

gordon

Monday, Seth had an accident.  A #2 accident that I just was not in the mood to deal with (seeing as how we’d had more accidents on Sunday than I can count.  Seriously, it was BAD.)

So, I tried a new tactic.

I told Seth that for each time I had to clean poop out of his underwear, I’d take away one of his engines.  And sure enough, Gordon spent Monday night in the china cabinet.

And wouldn’t you know it?  We seemed to have no issues pooping on the potty on Tuesday!  Whoo-hoo!

Granted, it’s one day.

But it’s one day where I haven’t had to swish out poopy man-pants in the toilet!

I say it’s a win-win all around!

(Tiff, keep it up.  Between your prayers and my tough mommy love, we may figure this out yet!)

Awesome thinking, mama! You will survive potty training...and you'll have some fun things to tell his future wife. ;)

nice. i hear ya on the potty training! ugh. double ugh. David turned four in April and is still not potty trained. we are making "improvements" but I really really don't want to clean up any more accidents.
of course, the Mikester is about ready to start training, so I guess it will never end.
good thinkin', mom!

Ooooh, I like your style! I'm keeping that little trick tucked away in my arsenal for the day when my toddler decides he wants to use the toilet for more than flushing.

Seriously, I am thinking of saving up a fund now...because I am not loving the idea of cleaning out poopy underwear. I will just buy new ones...ha!

GREAT thinking Mom - way to be creative =)

I may have to steal this idea. It seems we are going backwards lately!
