Let's dish....

So, my random, pointless question of the day, inspired by my just-completed, least-favorite household chore of all time (unloading the dishwasher) is this....

Do you group all your silverware together in the cutlery basket, ro so they all go in helter-skelter?

I've read that it's a time saver to group like with like, that way you can transfer right from basket to drawer in one fell swoop.

But I would think that you'd have "nesting" issues hindering cleanliness, especially with the spoons.

So what is your dish washing MO?  Do you even put that much thought into how you load the dishwasher?  (Please tell me I'm not the only anal-retentive one out there....!)

mix and match and just sort them out when unloading the dishwasher. I don´t think it would be that much time difference

Well, I don't sort them and put all of the same pieces together in their own slots. However, I'm really OCD about how many pieces are in each slot, so I always have to make sure it's even and I fill it up from left to right. BUT I have noticed that when you load your dishwasher that you put the handles down, which I have never done. So whenever I'm there and put dishes in, I always make sure I do it the same way you do. There was a time before kiddos that I sorted them as I loaded, that go lost somewhere along the way. But I am a handles up loader for sure!

They are completely random in the dishwasher and then Aaron puts them all away!
