Meet My Peeps: Antique Mommy

Meet My Peeps is a series written in order to introduce my readers to the fantastic writers  and friends the makeup my blog roll.

One of the “dual-edged swords” of the phenomenon that is blogging is link-hopping.

You know, where you wind up on a blog you enjoy, and then browse through that blogger’s blog roll, and then a commenter on that blogger’s post intrigues you, so you jump over to her blog, and before you know it, you are no where near where you began, and you just may found out that you like the last blogger even better than the first.

I’m pretty sure that is how I found Antique Mommy.

She is older than I, and I love that.  I learn from her years of experience – whether it be in motherhood, Christianity, writing.  I see bits of myself in her stories – who I already am, and who I’d like to become.

Mommy to one adorable Sean, she writes in a very relatable, humble, humorous, and thought-provoking manner.

Whether spinning a not-as-tall-as-you’d-think tale of her in-law’s hometown of Tuna, capturing a poignant moment of Sean’s babyhood, or traveling back in time to the young love of high school (my favorite Antique Mommy post EVER!), she manages to speak through the keyboard as if it’s just you and her sitting at the kitchen table sharing a story and a cup of coffee.

I know that you will love her as much as I do.

Did you know that AM and I are friends, now? We were in the same speaker evaluation group at She Speaks and she is JUST as wonderful in person as she is on her blog!! Love her, too!
