27w update

How far along? I am OFFICIALLY in the third and final trimester of my pregnancy.  It’s bizarre, but great.  I wish I knew exactly how much longer I had to go – be it 6 weeks, or 8, or 10, but I don’t.  So today, I’ll just be giddy with happiness that I’ve made it this far with a healthy baby girl, and pray that she stays put until she is good and ready to make an appearance.

Total weight gain
: Since last week, I don’t know, and I don’t care to know.  I have a number in my head that I do NOT want to see on my chart between now and delivery, but I have to keep telling myself that this is just a number, and my body, as history has proven, is just going to do what it is going to do.  The weight will go on, and sure as shootin’ it will come off.  Eventually.

Maternity clothes?  Can I just say, I need new bras.  That is all.

Thanks to a vaporizer and some night-formula cold medicine, it’s been better this past week than in recent weeks.

Best moment this week:
Date night with Jim on Saturday.  We had a nice dinner out, saw Valentine’s Day, and spent the night at the Doubletree Suites (thanks to a gift certificate I won at MOPS last spring).

:  All the time.  In fact, when I discovered that the name Reese means “enthusiasm,” I thought we’d found her name for sure.  It just seemed to fit.  (But then Jim informed me that Reese is a boy name…. Oh, well.)

Labor Signs/Body Changes of Note: Nope.  Yea for nope!

What I miss : Still Seth.  He will be home on Thursday, with my favorite in-laws in tow!

What I am looking forward to:
seeing my MIL this weekend, having an u/s next week, and then having a great time of celebrating Baby Girl with my sweet friends in two weeks.

yay third trimester :). soon, very soon, baby girl will be hear.

reese witherspoon is a girl. Jim's "reese is a boy's name" thing reminds me of A line from the movie "Rat Race": I know what you're thinking, "Enrico" is a girl's name.

So glad you and Baby Girl are doing well! And I really like the name Reese...and what about Reese Witherspoon? She's definitely not a boy! But I also really like the name Parker for a girl (like Parker Posey). Or what about Samantha? Seth and Samantha...that has a nice ring to it. Anyway, good luck with the naming!

I think of Reese as a girls name, like Reese Witherspoon. Also I worked at a daycare once and there was this adorable little girl named Reese.

Ummmmm....Reese Witherspoon IS a girl, Jim! I really like that name. Can't wait to see pictures of your little lady!

Reese is a perfectly wonderful girl name! If it is any consolation, Carrie & Andy will be welcoming their baby boy in the next 3 weeks & have NO names. Another friend had her baby boy yesterday...and he is still nameless. It'll come. *hugs* So glad that you've made it this far in your pregnancy with NO time in the hospital. Keep it up, lady! Can't wait to see you & rub your baby belly...'cuz I am that annoying friend. :D

Noel has a Reese in her class at school- and that definition would definitely suit her too.
Y'all will pick the perfect name.
So glad you've made it so far!
Oh- and Target nursing tanks/bras are a fav for me- cheap but durable.

Congratulations on making it to the third trimester!

I actually love the name Reese. My friend Katie has a daughter named Reese. Jim is obviously out of touch. ;) Of course, you know my favorite. LOL

Ummm...has Jim never heard of Reese Witherspoon??

Not only that, but there was a woman on Jeporady tonight named Stewart.

So, really, all bets are off.
