Baby Girl’s name…

IS NOT:

Eleanor

Erin

Reese

Jillian

Kendall

Stella

Lauren

MIGHT STILL BE:

Tessa

Chelsea

Rachael

Elizabeth

Sara

Gracyn

I’m still very much open to suggestions.  I want something not-too-trendy, and that has a special meaning.  Jim is still completely confused as to why I’m preoccupied with this issue – and I think we’ve just come to the “agree to disagree” point of the discussion: I’m obsessed with naming her, and he thinks we have all the time in the world.

Some of my closest girlfriends are having baby girls, and they’re all named already.  I’m jealous.  If Vivian, Eleanor, Eliana, Abbey, and Rebecca all get to be named, why can’t Baby Girl?

Help?

Of those, I like Rachael, Sara, and Tessa best. Do you want our "girl name" list? Can't remember if you've seen it. We're one and done so they're free to a good home.:-) I like classic names, as it appears you do, so maybe some of these will inspire you:
Rachel
Olivia
Natalie
Sarah
Audrey
Layla/Leila
Gabriella
Melody
Serena
Evelyn
Victoria
Eleanor (Ella)
Genevieve
Ruth
Iris
Cecilia
Florence (Florie)
Rebekah/Rebecca
Vivian
Lillian/Lilliana
(Some are family names, and some are middle name ideas)

I thought you scratched Elizabeth bc of the -eth factor?! Still love it. I also like Gracyn and Racheal ;) Or Rachel, you know, however lol

Oh and I do love Sara too. My niece is Sarah and it's just so pretty on her. Sara and Seth are just love:)

Three thoughts for you. First, I really like Chelsea. Second, as a cousin to a Rachael - people will always spell it wrong (without the second "a"). Third, what about Charlotte? (I love that name!)

Wow, that's a lot of choices! Our girl name from the beginning has been Katherine Elizabeth. It has absolutely no personal meaning except that it's beautiful and we both love it. But seeing as we're having our third boy, we haven't been able to use it yet!
Hope you find a name that you just KNOW is the one! :)

So many cute choices!

Of the ones you said, I love Tessa. I also like Kelly's suggestion of Olivia. Caroline was another one we had considered, but scratched it because it happens to be my sister's first choice for a girl name (not that she's pregnant). Some others I liked (some may be too trendy) were Piper, Kennedy, Charlotte, Molly, Riley, and Amelia.

Can't wait to know her name! And tell Jim we're all waiting ;)

You sound exactly like Todd and me this last time around. You remember what we ended up doing? Deciding on two and texting friends/family the day she was born to see which one they liked. The majority went to Eloise!
So...my vote off your list is...Gracyn. (Especially the spiritual significance of "Grace.")

How in the world did I miss this one?! Can I vote for Sara?! hehehe I really like Tessa, too! When Jim was up, I tried to put the pressure on him, but I think he blew me off. LOL

Ooh! Honey, you have some gorgeous options, I can honestly say there's not one that I don't like. And I'm verrrrry picky about names. I won't even pick a favorite. I'll just wait patiently for you to decide on the lovely girl's name.

Is there some significance to Tessa being at the top of the list? ;)

I agree with Gramp-e. I think Seth knows her name!

What about Lila? Tessa has a cousin with that name, and it fits her so well.

I love all your choices and I know BG will have the perfect name soon enough! It will be the perfect name because it will fall into your lap and fit with JUST what you'd want her to be. I KNOW IT!

I like the name Reese, and looked it up. It can be either a girl or a boy's name...just like my son's name, Mason is considered a boy or girl name..whatever! Reese sounds more like a girl to me. Anyhow, I came across this name today and just fell in love with it: Kelsey. It sounds really good with your last name, too. Good luck!
