Reflections

This past Sunday, our pastor challenged us to begin to record 100 things that we are thankful for.  My sweet friend Tiffany has taken to writing them down in an ever-present notebook, and I think that is so cool.  I would lose the notebook in the bottom of the diaper bag; so instead, I’m going to start recording mine on the blog on Monday mornings.

Won’t you join me?

  • SmartOnes Egg Muffin Sandwiches – easy, tasty, and healthy for me
  • 67-degree temps
  • baby chatter over the monitor
  • my big kitchen, and the view from its windows/doors
  • Phineas and Ferb – yea for cartoons that both kids and parents can enjoy/appreciate together
  • numbers on the scale steadily moving in the desired direction
  • text chats with my too-far-away Jen

What is something simple that you are thankful for today?

Love me some Phineas and Ferb!! I am thankful for memories of a sweet visit to Chicago last weekend to see my dad's house for the first time...and to see my baby brother for the first time in about a decade. Thankful for boy chatter in the front room, and the clink of golf clubs as I follow the boys on the course. Thankful for 75 degree temps and gentle breezes. And...for the adventure of taking giant leaps of faith.

Love to you...

Love this idea! Perhaps I should yoink it as well. I have oodles of blog posts that are 90% done that I just can't seem to hit "publish" on for some reason. This could kick me. Keep on rocking, lady!

Have you read the Ann Voskamp book yet- "One Thousand Gifts"? It's along this line. So good! We do have so so much to be thankful for. I've been wanting to keep a running list too. Great idea.
